To them it's just a crap,
to us it's bread and butter.

Treatment of Hazardous and Non-hazardous Waste (D9)

Processing of hazardous and non-hazardous waste takes place according to the physico-chemical process of electrocoagulation (operation D9). 40 tons of liquid waste can be treated daily.

Liquid waste passes through rakes into an electrocoagulation basin, where at a high electric current, iron plates release ions, which act as a precipitating agent for undesirable substances. A flotation process separates the sludge from the treated water. Pumps pump the sludge into the sludge storage tank and the water, suitable for discharge, into the sewerage system. A centrifuge mechanically thickens the sludge before leaving the plant to be disposed of as hazardous waste.
